"I saw your ad in the Terre de Chez Nous (Weekly agricultural newspaper in Quebec), and I agree with the testimonial of the producer who links the use of Plocher with the absence of mastitis problems. When we use Plocher K to treat manure, we forget the daily benefits, but as the years go by, we realize what problems we don’t have anymore… Only 10 minutes per week and it’s done! We wouldn’t do without it!" R.B. Dairy farmer, Saint-Simon-les-Mines (Quebec)
"I've been using Plocher K in my sheepfold for a few months. I noticed an enormous difference when cleaning, it's much easier, and by far! A day and night difference, I wouldn't go without Plocher K anymore!" F. B. Sheep breeder, Inverness (Quebec)
"I've been using Plocher K for a couple of years and I wouldn't do without it. It really works: There is less ammonia evaporating from the manure, thus there is less flies and it smells a lot less. The bedding also lasts longer when I apply Plocher K each week. And I've tried two other similar products, offered by other companies, one from Switzerland, but they weren't as effective, so I came back to the orginal, to Plocher. I hope many more young and experienced farmers get the chance to experience this product." A.S. goat milk producer, St.Bernardin (Ontario)
The Plocher® K manure treatment is really effective: The composting process is so efficient that the manure piles recedes and collapses on itself gradually. Some of our customers even told us that they don't need to move the manure conveyor ramp as often as the compost process reduces the overall volume.
•Increases availability of fertilizing ingredients due to improved composting process;
•Limits flies and larva proliferation indoor and outdoor*;
•Facilitates spreading (manure/compost is more friable, without clumping;
•Reduces volume of compost/manure to handle by 15% to 33%.
Thus Plocher® K helps to reduce costs!
* Pathogenic germs, flies and larva reduction following the use of Plocher K is due to a bioremediation process of the environment. Plocher K has no no germicidal, pesticidal or bactericidal action.
See the effects Plocher K on manure. It’s a trial that was conducted with 500 heads of steers, half on slats and half on litter. The floor was treated twice a week with Plocher K being sprayed after cleaning, at a dosage of 2 g per square meter. Manure removed from the barn was simply piled in a field all winter long.
Comparison between a non-treated pile of manure and a pile treated with Plocher K. The two piles are of comparable sizes. See how the treated pile is more composted, with much of the litter broken down. All this with no extra turning nor treatment.

How does it work?
The carrier material, in this case calcium carbonate, has been imbedded thru the unique Plocher process with oxygen ions and other important information from nature.
35 years ago, in Germany, M. Roland Plocher developed a new eco-catalytic process, now known as “plocherization” which consists of vitalizing natural substances with oxygen ions. With the application of the Plocher® K diluted in water, manure and compost enter in an aerobic decomposition process, promoting favourable microbes development, which are present everywhere in the environment, and facilitating their work of transforming manure and compost.
Scientific validation
Great increase of the water retention capacity of the composted matter. The increase in water retention capacity insures a constant supply of water to the plants, especially in drought periods. The study was conducted at the Professionnel Agricultural School of Golbrunnhof, in Styria (Austria). You can read the details of the study here.
Increased activity in the compost, even in winter, with Plocher® K applications! The temperature in the Plocher® K section was 6°C higher than in the untreated control section while outside temperatures were averaging -24°C! Read the details here.
Manure Composting as Pathogen Reduction Strategy. Manure and improperly composted manure can be a source of pathogen contamination on crops. See how, in this factsheet from Ontario’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, composting of manure is a good practice to greatly reduce the risk pathogen contamination.
